What made you decide to study law?
All through school, Law was really interesting to me. It seemed like a really good way to be able to figure what on earth was happening around us (it really is everywhere you look) in a way that would really let me to help people and support them.
Where are you studying and what is your favourite subject?
I’m studying at Victoria University of Wellington, and so far, I’ve really enjoyed the Law of Contract.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Always give someone the benefit of the doubt, until you can’tanymore. Life’s more positive that way.
Do you have any hobbies / interests outside of work?
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and have a bit of a green finger (though limited to pot plants, at the moment). I also spend a lot of time reading, or wandering around Wellington to find nice spots – so really anything that lets me slow down and take a bit of a break.
If I wasn’t working at a law firm, I would be...
A baker, or maybe chef.
What do you love about your job?
Cliché as it may be, I really love knowing what I’m doing will help people.
