SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with some or all of the following attributes, and who is motivated to learn.
Customer service or relationship management
Legal assistant experience or previous legal experience
Precise and effective communication and organizational skills, proficiency with IT/Microsoft Office suite
Have the ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines
Have the ability to work in a team environment and be able to provide input, whilst having the ability to work independently and efficiently
A willingness to learn and develop within a diverse environment

2. (Palmerston North) experienced legal executive/office manager to assist busy partner
ABOUT THE ROLES
Family lawyer – Wellington - the position is for an experienced lawyer to take charge of our Wellington office in Customhouse Quay, working with and reporting to our senior lawyers in Palmerston North and Whanganui. Legal aid and Court experience preferred.
Legal executive / office manager - Palmerston North – the position is a support role, reporting directly to the local partner.
For both roles you will be required to work with our team, but most importantly you will have to be able to work independently, and will need to be self-motivated, efficient and reliable.
A positive and confident attitude, flexibility, a willingness to assist others and the ability to learn on the job, and a sense of humour are highly desirable.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Family Court/general practise lawyer
Preferably 3+ PQE
Strong analytical, written and advocacy skills and the ability to communicate in plain English
Experience in managing own clients and matters through to completion
Familiarity with asset structuring, and relationship property
Some general litigation experience (Family Protection Act/Estate litigation, care of children, asset protection matters)
Strong legal research skills
Familiarity with general practice including drafting wills, liaising with clients for succession plans, conveyancing
Legal Aid Approval (lead provider status would be preferable).
Legal executive/office manager
Legal assistant/secretary experience or previous legal experience (i.e – court registry experience, legal executive).
Familiarity with Family Court processes/Legal Aid would be highly beneficial
Both roles
